Genre (select all that apply)Thriller, Female-Driven

Other important Factors (select all that apply)Hallmark-Lifetime style story, High Concept (ie can be pitched in one sentence), Underdog story, Love entanglement storyline , PG-13, Female Lead

Logline (character/word count limit)Based on True Events from 1946-1958, Joliet was facing its darkest hour with The Outfit infusing organized crime into the city's politics, business, and police. And it took two women to show them the light. Dovetails into Ten Episode Limited Streaming Series.

Synopsis (character/word count limit)Long before the fictional Thelma & Louise there was a True Events story from 1946 - 1958 in Joliet, IL, a blue collar town near Chicago, facing its darkest hour as The Outfit sunk their claws of organized crime into the city's hierarchy of politics, business, and police. One where it took two women to show them the light. Leading the charge was Molly Zelko, a Reporter obsessed with exposing corruption after her mentor Bill McCabe was left for dead by Joliet Outfit Boss Francis Curry, appointed by Chicago Boss Paul Ricca, both Capone disciples, for running against Curry’s Precinct candidate. Supporting Molly's quest on the inside was Police Special Assistant Mary Daglas. They took life-threatening risks revealing beatings, murders, cover ups, double crosses, incidents drawing Robert Kennedy’s Senate Labor Racketeering Committee, J Edgar Hoover’s FBI pursuit of coin operated gambling, and a Mob meeting for Nationwide Syndication. During an era women had no safety net while challenging an all-male power structure in Illinois’ second largest and most violent city. Script critique by Producer Terence Donnelly (Midnight Cowboy, The French Connection, Unmarried Woman, The Exorcist, 12 Angry Men): “(Ioannis) once again you have proven your skill at telling the story effectively and efficiently, defining your characters with unique qualities. Moments during my read I channeled Thelma and Louise. What a great vehicle for two strong females to take on the Mob and City Hall! Can’t imagine that you'll have any trouble attaching A-Listers to bring Molly and Mary to life. Keep hearing complaints from the ladies that there are not enough good roles for them. This should put that argument to rest. Great work.”
